Branches

Students

Our students branch is for members who are at university or enrolled in other practical courses. We campaign with students at both the local council and student union levels on the issues that matter most to them.

Campaigns

Support students

We are calling on universities and the government to improve support for students. Our proposals include more effective university complaints procedures, an end to the use of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and enhanced mental health services.

End tuition fees

We believe every student should receive a grant that covers both living costs and tuition fees, eliminating the need for student loans.

Better student housing

A large proportion of student housing is unsafe, with issues like damp and mould. Therefore, we are campaigning for stronger housing standards, a quality guarantee for university accommodation, and a dedicated watchdog to regulate private student housing.

Our Aberystwyth branch was a campaigning society that found solutions to issues that impact students.
