Fairer property taxes
At this event, we discussed why our property tax system is broken with our existing property taxes, including stamp duty, council tax, and business rates. We looked at what should happen to this system and whether it needs to be simplified. The event also included a Question and Answer session in the second half.
The Chair for this event was Cllr Will Barber–Taylor, the Deputy Director (external). The panel included Peter Fox MS, the Senedd Shadow Minister for Finance; Tom Spencer of London New Liberals; Shreya Nanda of the IPPR; and Andrew Dixon, the founder of Fairer Share.
