Advise Centre

Members of our advisory board bring their expertise to Centre helping us to grow. This includes through a yearly meeting and individual meetings with our Directors on specific topics.

Opportunities to be involved

We may also send you invitations to appear on panels for business related events and Business Network events.

Board members

Lord Dick Taverne

Former Director of the Institute for Fiscal Studies

Dick launched the Institute for Fiscal Studies and was its first Director. He also founded the Charity Sense about Science. During his time in politics Dick held a number of positions in government including as a Home Office Minister, Minister of State at the Treasury and then as Financial Secretary to the Treasury. He then founded and was leader of the Democratic Labour Party and sat as an MP for the DLP. He later started the Campaign for Social Democracy Party.

Penelope Hope

Centre Business Network Chair

Penelope is the Co-Founder of Rebel Energy UK and was Utilities Businesswoman of the Year in 2021. She is also a Supervisory Board Member at Carlson Investments SE and was previously an Equity Research Analyst at Goldman Sachs.
