Glen O'Hara is Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Oxford Brookes University. A former schoolteacher and journalist, he is the author of a series of books about modern British governance, including From Dreams to Disillusionment: Economic and Social Planning in 1960s Britain (2006) and The Politics of Water in Post-War Britain (2017). He is a regular commentator on current affairs in newspapers and periodicals such as The Guardian and The New European. He is the Principal Investigator of the AHRC-funded project 'In All Our Footsteps: Mapping, Tracking, Mapping and Experiencing Rights of Way in Post-War Britain', and is currently working on a book about the domestic policies of the Blair government between 1997 and 2007.
