Tobias Ellwood

Centre supporter and Member of Parliament.

Tobias is the Member of Parliament for Bournemouth East and was first elected as an MP in 2015. He is also a member of the Privy Council and a Centre supporter.

Soldier

Before entering parliament Tobias was a soldier and in the Royal Green Jackets where he reached the rank of captain. As a reservist he was later promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the 77th Brigade and received the Volunteer Reserves Service Medal.

MP for Bournemouth East

Tobias is the Member of Parliament for Bournemouth East and held the role of Shadow Minister for Culture, Media and Sport under David Cameron. He currently holds the position of Chair of the Defence Select Committee.

In government

Tobias has served in multiple government roles. These include as the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Africa, as the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence Veterans, Reserves and Personnel and as the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Middle East and North Africa.

Centre supporter

Tobias has been a supporter of the UK re-joining the single market to improve our relationship with the EU. He spoke about this on our podcast and we then started a new campaign on UK membership of the Single Market as a result.
