Centre supporter, Councillor and former leadership contender for the Green Party
Rosemary Sexton is a former leadership contender for the Green Party, an independent councillor and was previously a mixed martial arts fighter.
Green party leadership race
Rosemary was elected as a councillor for the Shirley West ward in the Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council in 2019. She now sits as an independent councillor. She also came second in the Green Party leadership elections of 2020 and ran as a Green candidate for parliament in 2019 for the Solihull constituency.
Mixed martial arts
Rosemary has black belts in Tae Kwon Do, in The Jitsu Foundation’s Ju Jitsu and in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. She also competed in MMA competitions for BodogFight, EliteXC, Bellator Fighting Championships, Cage Warriors Fighting Championship and Ultimate Fighting Championship. Rosi also has a Degree in osteopathy and is a sports therapist working for Olton Osteopathy.
Rosemary received a Masters and then a PHD in Mathematics. She published two papers, one on “Point-sensitive and point-free patch constructions” and the other on “An ordinal indexed hierarchy of separation properties“.
